SHAYAMOYA SOCIAL FACILITIES FOR SIVILE!

The precinct includes the existing Roman Catholic Church and Municipal Hall and is adjacent to the Town Landfill (to be reahbilitated as sports fields) and the (yet to be built) Shayamoya High school. New Facilities include a Health Unit for ARV roll out, Pop-in centre for the aged, Catering and Feeding Kitchen, Pre-school (in the old Church), New Church, Training Centre (building trades and computers) and Administration.

A sports hall built in the 70's that had more recently degenerated into one of Wentworth's infamous clubs was converted to the home of Keep a Child Alive South Africa on a very tight budget. The building allows the client to render day clinic health services to south Durban communities - especially the roll out of ARV's to children with AIDS
